EP-AI accepts natural-language queries the way you would actually describe a part to a colleague:

Behind the scenes, EP-AI parses the attributes (current rating, voltage, certification, application), runs them through the structured EPFINDER catalogue we rebuilt last quarter, and returns matched in-stock products — ranked by closest specification — within seconds. You can refine the conversation (“show me Schneider equivalents”, “increase to 32 A”) and the assistant adjusts.

The equal-or-higher rule, baked in

One thing we learned over the last year of customer enquiries: when a customer asks for a specific rating, they almost never want a downgrade. So EP-AI follows a hard rule: if we don’t have the exact part, the alternative offered is always equal-or-higher rating in the same family. The rule is universal — A, kW, kA0 mm², kVA, Ah. A request for a 25 A contactor never gets answered with a 20 A part.

When EP-AI hands off to a sales engineer

EP-AI is designed to handle the 80% of queries that are straightforward attribute-based product matching. For project quantities, custom configurations, complex co-ordination questions (selectivity, discrimination, busbar sizing), or anything requiring an actual engineering judgement, the assistant offers to escalate to a human sales engineer — and your conversation history travels with you, so you don’t repeat the brief.

EP-AI’s queries are not used for training third-party AI models. Your search history is retained for your own session continuity and quote management. Nothing is shared with manufacturers or external parties without explicit consent.
